Common questions about /reload

›Why did my worldgen change not apply?

Worldgen is read when the world loads. Only already-generated chunks stay as they are; you need a restart and new chunks.

›Does /reload restart the world or reload my resource pack?

Neither. It re-reads enabled data packs only — functions, loot tables, predicates, advancements and recipes. Resource packs are a client-side concern and world generation settings are read once when the world loads.
