Common questions about /seed

›Can players see the seed?

On a server it needs permission level 2 unless the server config allows it.

›Does the same seed generate the same world on a different version?

No. World generation changes between versions, so the same seed produces different terrain, structures and biomes on 1.18 than it does on 26.2. Only the same seed on the same version is reproducible.
